Ten good reasons why, after 37 years of Plumbing Engineering practice
I keep on coming to ASPE meetings:

10. Meet with my peers and make new friends.
  9. Before the meeting, between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. you can indulge on an “
all you can eat buffet hors d’oeuvre” and buy two drinks for the price of one.
  8. Talk with Don Dickerson, the grandfather of them all.
  7. Set my watch exactly at ±7:00 PM, when Wilson enters the room.
  6. Very good steak dinner.
  5. Be fined, for no reason, by our always funny and unique Sergeant of Arms.
  4. Find out where people are working now, and compare with the last month

      employment data.
  3. Get five chances to win a fabulous door prize, (screwdriver, flash light,

shower head, etc.) with no additional cost, since the tickets for door prizes

are included in the meal price.
  2. Find out the “right” result of the last ball game between engineers and

      manufacturer’s reps.
  1. Learn. Learn. Learn. The information presented during the technical

portion of the meeting, is always interesting, engaging, challenging and

full of valuable information, and helped me to be updated with the latest

      technological advancements in our industry.
