Hello fellow plumbing engineers, designers and affiliates...
I hope you are having a great summer. Maybe getting an opportunity to have some vacation time at home or going somewhere. I hope your trips are good ones and enjoyable. Getting a chance for a change of pace and different scenery. I also hope the amount of jobs increase. Right now a lot of offices are slow. We just need to hang in there and hopefully things will get better soon. The money for construction needs to break loose so companies can use it.
We have some really good activities coming up. Our next meeting is on August 4th at 6:00 p.m. with our speaker being Mr. Dwight Perkins talking about the "Green Plumbing and Mechanical Code". I am sure coming will be beneficial to you.
Please make note on your calendar that for only our meeting on October 6th, we will start at 6:30pm. It is a special meeting with Dave Walls. He is the Executive Director of the California Building Standards Commission. We need to have everyone send a RSVP to my email address, by September 20th. A seat at the event will not be guaranteed after September 20th.
I would encourage our members to make plans to go to the National ASPE Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between October 30 - November 3, 2010. We will have a new National President and other elected officers. We should also be introduced to a new Executive Director. There are many additional benefits for going. See the ASPE National web site for additional information. ASPE. org.
Please look at the calendar of the upcoming events. Mark them on your calendar so you will be able to attend. Come out and support our ASPE activities.
