PLUMBING SYSTEMS DESIGN COURSES AT UCLA EXTENSION

UCLA EXTENSION offers a new comprehensive sequential program in Plumbing Systems Design, especially intended for Plumbing Designers and Mechanical Engineers who have prior experience, but wish to supplement and update their knowledge. This program is excellent for designers with little formal technical Plumbing education, who need to study the Plumbing Code and interpret the basic regulations and applications, to day to day projects. The complete program includes three quarters, each having 12 meetings. All classes will be held at UCLA Westwood Campus, on Thursdays, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.

X 400.8	PSD-Part 1 will start 27 Sept. 2010 to 13 Dec. 2010
X 400.9	PSD-Part 2 will start January 2011 to March 2011
X 400.10	PSD-Part 3 will start April 2011 to June 2011

After successful completion of each quarter, 4 credit units will be awarded. At the completion of all three quarters, UCLA Extension will issue a Certificate of Completion.

Accumulated knowledge in Plumbing Design and the Certificate will increase the chance for advanced recognition and salary increase.

This course also, offers an excellent preparation step to apply and pass CPD examination (Certified in Plumbing Design), which is an International Credential Program for the certification of engineers and designers of Plumbing systems, and is administered by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
